We received a request from a client seeking to install a highly visible signage along a highway, visible from a distance of three kilometers. The client was unsure about the size, the location and specifications required to achieve this. We called for the building Logo and the structural drawing..
Consultation and Design:
To address the client’s needs, we engaged the services of a structural consultant to help us locate the widest and strongest portion of the building that faces the highway. We suggest a size of 45 feet wide, 14 feet tall signage with 12 feet high letters spelling “JoyVille,” and the consultant designed a structure. The engineering team of Joyville, vetted, discussed, raised apprehension but finally approved the design after much deliberation and rounds of concals, leading to the order for erection

Structural Challenge:
The challenge emerged when the structure weighed 7000 kilos, and the letters added an additional 500 kilos had to be lifted to the 30th floor.. We, fortunately, had a crane on-site to lift the massive load to the terrace level.
On-Site Decision-Making:
Upon arrival, a new challenge surfaced—the signage was positioned exactly at the building line’s edge. Without consulting the structural consultant, our on-site team, spearheaded by our founder, Mr.Altaf Naik, decided to move the structure 1m back, ensuring there was sufficient gap between the building line and the signage. Safety Measures:
Recognizing the potential danger posed by the proximity to the building edge, we took immediate action. They erected a safety cage weighing additional 500 kilos, aligning it with the building line. The safety cage was installed to protect the installation personnel, considering the elevated location of the signage.
Collaboration with Safety Officer:
Mr. Atanu, Joyville’s safety officer, played a crucial role in ensuring the installation adhered to safety standards. His primary concern was the installer’s safety due to the signage’s position at the edge. To mitigate this risk, we team decided to move the structure back and install the safety cage.
Installation Success:
With the safety measures in place, the signage installation proceeded smoothly. Once the structure was up, the safety cage provided a secure platform for the installer to fit the orange ACP and signage. The installation was completed without incident, and the safety cage was removed to unveil the stunning Joyville signage.
